Shantel - Musher
As a proud veteran and member of the Battle Dawgs team, Shantel is passionate about sharing the life-changing connection between people, sled dogs, and Alaska's wilderness. Through every tour, she helps guests experience one of Alaska's most treasured winter traditions while supporting Battle Dawgs' mission of helping fellow veterans find healing, purpose, and community through dog mushing and the outdoors. Her love for the dogs, the trail, and the mission shines through in every adventure, making each ride an experience that's as meaningful as it is unforgettable.

A lifelong Alaskan, Alex feels most at home in the backcountry. Whether he's riding a snowmachine, exploring a new trail, or simply taking a moment to breathe in the crisp mountain air, his passion for Alaska shines through in every tour. He loves sharing stories about life in his off-grid dry cabin, the adventures that come with living in the Last Frontier, and his dream of one day traveling the world.
